B- side to the 2011 7” release of “Wild Palms”, “Symphony in White, No. 2” becomes our late, sunny morning day-riser. The soaring violins and the vocal reverb lead on to fantastical imaginings and ultimately happier places. Yay.
Formerly of the band A-Sides, the Philadelphia-based duo between Jon Barthmus and Patrick Marceill have, since their emergence in 2010, created beautifully ethereal indie-pop in both their original work and remixes. Taste this lovely B-side here and devour more treats at their Soundcloud as their latest remix, M83’s “Reunion”, is featured there along with their third mixtape I Need You Close. Savor it til’ their second full length release under Dead Oceans comes out in October.
