Tennis - Tears in the Typing Pool (Broadcast Cover)
Cover time.
In promotion of their second LP Young and Old out last month on Valentine’s Day, Denver indie pop group Tennis released a cover of Broadcast’s “Tears in the Typing Pool“. A husband and wife team comprised of Patrick Riley (on guitar, keyboards, and production) and Alaina Moore (vocals) with new addition James Barone (drums), Tennis is all cheese and rice but we’re lovestruck and heart throbbed for it. Following up their 2010 Cape Dory, Young and Old under Fat Possum records was reportedly written and produced in three months under the direction of Patrick Carney (the Black Keys). The result is a lyrically-driven, sunshine masterwork.
Ah. Just in time for spring.
